Fritz Lang’s Metropolis scored with the Music of Radiohead
As amazing as the visuals of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis are, I have always been underwhelmed by the original score. I was partly inspired by Giorgio Moroder’s 1984 score for Metropolis which featured contemporary music from the 80′s. While the music seemed to give the film a new life it didn’t always feel appropriate. I asked myself what contemporary music would be used to score this film today and I realized that Radiohead was the perfect fit.
